Microfinance Intervention
Since its inception, MOJAZ FOUNDATION is supported by the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) under the program of International Linkage Partner Initiative of IFAD. Under this Program MOJAZ FOUNDATION is a pioneer organization established by the PPAF. In line with PPAF two micro financing agreements have been signed with ORIX Leasing Pakistan and Orangi Charitable Trust respectively.
Following are the key features of the project agreements:

Set up and establish MOJAZ FOUNDATION offices to start up program activities.

Establishment of community organizations/ groups in all three Tehsils of Narowal ,Zafarwal & Shakargarh
- Train the community members by providing various management and skill trainings,particularly women

Provision of financial services (Microcredit of Rs. 7 million in 1st Year and Rs. 12.5 million for 2nd year) in the target area

Create linkages between communities (specially farmers and entrepreneurs) and line departments, public and private corporations and business entities

Support the communities to identify small infrastructure schemes and seek funding for implementation

Support the communities to identify their social sector needs (health & education) and seek funding for their implementation
22 million has been disbursed to 1490 clients in 8 union councils of district Narowal.
Mobilized 350 Community Groups totaling 1490 clients in District Narowal.
Micro financing services are made available in three sectors Agriculture, Livestock and Commerce related enterprise development.
All the micro financing is available to all genders, to date gender approach ratio is 51% female & 49 % male
